Tunnel Rat Traffic
Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
What is a Traffic Exchange? |
| A traffic exchange is the good ol' fashioned you view mine and I'll view yours opportunity exchange. You trade credits or money and in return get interested people looking at your site. With category listings, your traffic will be of a higher quality target audience; meaning the people who want to see your ads will see them more often than everyone else. |
|
Why can't I delete my site? |
| Don't forget to set your auto-assign to 0 for the site you are trying to delete. This is the most common cause. Another reason may be that you only have one site listed and must add another before attempting to delete your first ad. |
|
How does the category surf work? |
| I will answer this question in two parts:
1. When you list your site, you will have a drop-down box allowing you to select the most appropriate category. If you cannot decide which category best describes the type of site you are advertising, just select 'General'.
2. Before you begin surfing, click on the 'Surf Categories' button right below 'Start Surfing'. Using the checkboxes next to each category, select as many as you'd like, with a minimum of 1. After saving, you will be shown only the sites listed in each of the categories you selected while surfing for credits.
By default, you will view all categories unless you choose otherwise. |

How Do I Collect Commissions? |
| Although mass payments may be considered in the future, commissions are paid upon request.
To request a cashout, click on the convert button in your member area and a 'cashout' link will show at the top of the page once your cash balance is over $10.
Make sure you fill out your PayPal and/or AlertPay email address in the 'Personal Details' section to expedite the payment process.
You also have the option of converting your cash earnings to banner, text, or credits. |
|
Is it okay to Pay for Signups? |
| No. Paying for referrals is strictly prohibited and if caught, your account will be suspended and possibly deleted. We maintain a high quality of active members so your sites get the targeted visitors they deserve.
Another reason PTP or paid to promote sites are not prohibited in rotation here. Your best interests are top priority when delivering targeted visitors to your sites. |

How Do I Set My Surf Goals? |
| First, the Surf Goals are there as a guideline to keep you focused on how many page views you commit to each day. Consistency is the key to succeeding in this industry. You can view and set your daily surf goals along with averages on the 'Set Surf Goals' page of your member area.
Once there, enter a number of page views you want to commit to surfing for the day and your progress will be displayed on the surf bar. Just one of the many great, unique features tailored to help you achieve your goals. This is completely optional but recommended and defaults to 100 page views to surf the minimum to claim your Active Tunneler rewards for the day! |
|
How Do I Claim My Daily Active Tunneler Rewards? |
| Everyday you can check the page view and reward values in the main member area for the day. They are dynamic, which means they can change frequently, so check them often. Setting your Surf Goals is recommended, to match your page view goal matching the desired rewards you want for the day. Once you've reached your goal or finished surfing for the day and if you've met the requirements for one of the rewards, click on the Claim Rewards link. Your page views will be displayed and the script will tell you if you've met the minimum, highlighting the rewards that match your page views for the day. Make sure to submit your request before midnight server time and they will be assigned to your account shortly. Enjoy! |
|
I just joined and the surfbar logs me out after 2 pages, why? |
| If you haven't yet added a website to rotation, the surfbar will not be able to assign credits to it. You MUST have at least one site listed in order to surf uninterrupted. |
|
What is the black-list? |
| The black-list is a list of currently banned domains from rotation because they violate our Terms. This only applies to sites disallowed from rotation, not email providers like Gmail. |
